Performance Improvement

by sudi760mba » Tue Aug 19, 2008 11:15 am
Hi,

I'm looking for everyone's opinion on what criteria actually determines or maximizes improvement on both the quantitative and verbal. So far as I've looked through the various entries, I've seen the following:
1. OG 11 study and review all the problems
2. SC Correction using MGMAT
3. Practice and redo all the problems that we get wrong...
4. Take the GMATPrep several times
5. Learn the fundamentals, taking a look at the GMAT resources

Other thoughts on what techniques and strategies actually make the biggest difference in improving one's scores?

Thanks![/list]

In addition to your list, I would recommend doing as many CATs as you have time for. MGMAT and GMATPrep CATs are the best in my personal experience. I am in the final stages of my prep and I am finding that doing GMATPrep multiple times (more than twice each) is not as useful as the first few times since you start encountering questions you have seen before. This seems to significantly distort your results and may set wrong expectations if you don't level set yourself.

Look at my CAT history:
