Manhattan RC strategy

Although I found the RC strategies to be good but I am finding it difficult to implement them and am doing the RC in the same way I used to do.
For example- RC strategies say that for Long passages make a Skeletal Sketch of the topic para and skim the limbs part.It advices not to read but note the keywords.However I find that many questions refer to some passages of the limbs part.So,just noting keywords may not give me the exact idea of the answer.Please advice

The specific questions refer to details in the "limb" part of the passage - but you should not know the answers to these questions from your first read-through. You should always have to go back and find the answer, using your knowledge of the structure of the passage and the keywords that match in the question and the paragraphs.

You would have to spend way too much time reading and studying the passage in order to then just be able to answer the various specific questions you get. Instead, you should use the structure and keywords to figure out where to go to find the answer, and then go read the relevant sentence or couple of sentences carefully (and possibly several times) in order to narrow down your answer choices and find the right answer. This is the most efficient use of your time.

I too am facing some issues with implementing the strategy.

The process of reading the passage and simultaneously taking notes costs me atleast 7-8 mins, almost every time I start working on an RC passage. Further, after laying the skeletal structure it again takes 2-3 mins to understand and solve the questions (which I think is a lot of time).

I am not sure if I will be able to complete my GMAT on time. :(

My strategy was to read the passage very carefully and pausing to reflect a little bit after each paragraph. I did this no matter how long the passage was. This was best for me because I rarely had to go back and re-read any part of the passage once I started answering questions. It took a lot more time up front but then saved time once I got into the questions.
