I gave my test on 14th with a preparation of 3 months.

My background - Biology (Masters in plant sciences) - 7 years in plant research. Left math in school (15 years already).

I booked the date for Nov 4. I have 47 days to go.

So far, I am using OG12, Manhattan's material for SC and
IMS ( gmat prep institute) material for maths.
I am spending 2-3 hours a day during weekdays and 4-5 hrs during weekends in preparation.
I was intimidated with maths during my prep so worked more on it, and took verbal easy. That was my mistake :(.

I am aiming for ISB, IIMs, NSU and Nanayang singapore.
With my back ground what would be a ideal score?

could somebody suggest me with changes to be made in study material and any other ways to get my score above 700.

Hi,

I am not very sure whether IIM's accept GMAT scores for regular 2 year MBA programs but yes, IIM's do accept GMAT for Exec-MBA programs.

As far as your question of getting into 700 club is concerned. I would say, there is no particular path to follow. Looking at your previous score I could figure out that you need to work a lot in Quant.

IMS material for Quant is good to follow, but before jumping to solve IMS material, you must be very clear with your basics. A good way to revise your basics would be to go through your High-School mathematics book. That would make your fundamentals strong.

Verbal looks fine as compared with your Quant but it needs more polishing. Browse through the threads in this strategy section and you will find different strategies to improve Verbal score.

Hope this Helps
