(D) Insofar as machines replaced human labor, it was widely anticipated
(E) Human labor being replaced by machines, there was wide anticipation that


The OA is C but there is no reference for 'it'. CAn somebody explain?

IMO B or C.. but went with B..

Could someone explain what is the mistake in B and what is correct in A?
