...from the information given

x = 7a + 4 and x = 5b+3

Also

y =7m+4 and y = 5n+3 ..

now x –y = 7(a-m)=5(b-n) .. so that basically means (x-y) is a multiple of both 7 and 5 .. so it has also got to be the multiple of the LCM of 7 and 5 .. that is 35 .. so the answer is E
