GMAT BEAT ME-440

by icandy018 » Sat Nov 01, 2008 6:34 am
Im so disappointed.
I used the princeton review book to study my first time around and got a 370. I signed up for Kaplan and I got 520, 530, and 540 on their practice tests. Then i go to take the GMat yesterday and my jaw was on the ground when 440 poped up. Im so sad and disappointed. I worked so hard. I submitted applications to Pace and St. Johns U anyway. Im hoping to get in to one of them. :-(

I dont know what my chances are for getting in......

Well...

(1) You didn't ask a question and people to know what to answer to.

(2) I started studying for my GMAT and after 2 weeks in, I got < 500. I was devastated. Fortunately, it was only a diagnostic and I realized that my problem was a few things:

> I figured out the problems with my weaknesses in QUANT (I'm still on quant)

> I'm eating right to increase my stamina

> ...

My advice to you is TO RETAKE YOUR EXAM. < 500 (or even 600) is unacceptable to many places. While colleges look at other factors, I recommend you beat it...COME ON - just kill it.

My second advice to you is to reflect on the exam and instead of worrying, think through your mistakes, and take it afresh.

Sincerely,

Piyush A.
