B. 4
C. 6
D. 8

Answer: C

Solution:

We can let x = the average of the first 3 tests. Thus, her fourth test, in terms of x, is x + 8, and the average of all 4 tests is:

(3x + x + 8) / 4 = (4x + 8) / 4 = x + 2

Therefore, her fourth test is (x + 8) - (x + 2) = 6 points higher than the average of all 4 tests.
