Best GMAT Prep Course/Training

by SKR » Tue Feb 09, 2010 9:44 am
All,

I am very new to this forum.
I am preparing for my GMAT exam & have plans to take the exam next month(1st week of march).
I am not able to score above 560 - 580 Range in any of my practice tests. It would be of immense help, if any of you can advise me on the best GMAT Prep course/Training available.

Thank you all for your advice.

I posted in your other thread, but in case you didn't see it. If you are targeting a 650 plus score the three prep classes that have the best reputation are: Veritas, Kaplan Advanced, and Manhattan GMAT. Manhattan GMAT's strength is their quant prep. Veritas's is their verbal prep. Kaplan's is mainly their strategy.

Osirus - i think for the Kaplan Advanced you need to have scored a 650 already.

The thing is... if you're taking the GMAT in the first week of March, that's definitely not enough time to take one of these classes. Time to hit the books instead! You can find many posts on here about which books should be used for studying...

The consensus is that they are good. The only complaints is that the math on their CATs is easier than the math on the GMAT.

Since you don't have enough time for a course, you'll want to pick a few really meaty books and then use some practice tests. I like Manhattan for a content-focused source, and winningprep.com for strategy.

Given your tight timeline, here is what we can offer.

We run both one weekend crash course and one week intensive course on a monthly basis. This month we have an online intensive course for 7 days starting this Saturday Feb 13th and a number of in-person intensive courses around the world.

You are welcome to view the past videos:
www.youtube.com/manhattanreview

You can audit the first live class for free. Hopefully it fits into your prep schedule. You can also attend two of our online courses at the same time and finish just within 4 weeks instead of the normal 8 weeks. We also offer private tutoring at an affordable rate. If you sign up for 10 hours, you will get 5 cat codes and 100+ hours online library access for free.

We have been around for over 10 years in GMAT preparation and have live classes in all major international cities including New York, London, Frankfurt and Singapore. You can view student testimonials on our site below.

Recently we rolled out a new offer: you can have unlimited gmat class access for 60 days after your own course to reinfornce your learnings through repeated and progressive live instructions.

Feel free to email us directly and let us know your location and budget. We will then propose a tailored study package for you!

Good luck with your ongoing preparation! Our GMAT books have a lot of tough math questions, FYI.
