Need a new Strategy! Help!

by apu » Mon Feb 04, 2008 4:06 pm
I took the GMAT in December, and got a 540! I was really expecting a better score as my priniceton review and gmat practice test scores were in the 600s. I did most of the PR questions in the big orange book.
Now, I am planning on taking the exam again, and need atleast a 700, which obviously means a lot of dedicated studying...Could someone who has been in the same boat as me, please advise me of how I should go about the practice questions? Since I have done a lot of the questions in the big Orange book, would you please recommend other books?

Any help is much appreciated.

Looks like you need to refer to these two resource areas:

The GMAT Blog, and
The GMAT Resources Section

You will find lots of guidance there on how you can attack your practice questions/tests more effectively.

Also, be sure to leverage this community during your prep. If you are particularly weak in a certain subject area like Problem Solving or Sentence Correction, consider participating in these posts--it's a great way to practice and get many perspectives on how to solve problems.

Good luck!
