Study Plan on a Short Timetable

by fatmanx1 » Sun Oct 12, 2008 6:30 pm
I started studying for the GMATs last week with the goal of applying for fall 09, 2nd rounds applications.

After a week of going through the Kaplan PP, I took the GMATPrep CAT 1 and got a 640 (Q=41 V=36). I finished the verbal section 15min early, and ran out of time for the quant section with 6 questions left. My goal, like most people, is to get over 700. I recently went part-time at my job in order to have 2 extra full days of studying.

I have a few questions:

1. How much time do I have to study? When do I need to take the test in order to make 2nd round deadlines?

2. I've read all the frequency referenced study plans (Ursula, TwinnSplitter, etc.) but based on the amount of time I think I have, it seems like these study plans are less applicable. Any advice here?

Thanks.
