Hi,

I am currently a senior at a private school in CT, Quinnipiac University graduating with a degree in international business and a minor in european union studies. I have only recently become very involved with my coursework and became very mature with grades. Below i listed my basic profile:

3.1 GPA
Academic paper accepted to two conferences for publishing
2 internships in finance, one being at Pepsi
very close with several professors for references
involved heavily on campus
part of the creation of a student run consultant group on campus

I want to get into a top business school for either an MBA or a JD/MBA program. I have heard about post graduate transcripts to improve my GPA but i am very unfamiliar with them. Could you tell me a little more? Also with my stats, do you think i have what it takes to get into a top school if i could just improve my gpa a little bit? any information would be great!

Dear famousgirl149,

Business school admissions is based on many components evaluated holistically, thus it is impossible to determine how competitive you will be based on your GPA. An alternative transcript might be helpful, but without knowing your GMAT score, it is unknown if you need one to strengthen your application. Most of the time when building an alternative transcript, people will take quantitative coursework to demonstrate quantitative aptitude and the ability to succeed in the classroom.

Good luck,
Lisa
