GMAT beat me

by sparklin » Wed Nov 16, 2011 3:16 am
Hi,
I'm currently working with one of the Big 4's & took the GMAT on the 14th. Although I was able to score 550-600 on GMAT Prep tests & Princeton Review tests, I ended up scoring only 460. I was heartbroken as I screwed it up.
I want to apply for the Fall 2012 batch.
What should I do to bring my score to atleast 660.....I'm thinking of taking the test in a month

Several things you need to do:

1. Find out where your weaknesses lie. Make an error log. Diagnose the gaps in your content knowledge.

2. Gather materials to conquer those weaknesses. Diversify. Use books, but also online sources like Grockit, BTG, GMATClub, etc.

3. Make sure you are SOLID on every GMATPrep and OG question.

4. Re-evaluate strategy. What is working for you? What isn't? Do you *really* have a solid strategy for each Q-type? Be honest with yourself. You may want to contact a private tutor to help out here.

5. Schedule out your GMAT prep-time from now until Test Date. *How*,*when*, and *what* will you study?

Going from 460 to 660 in 1 month is ambitious, and will require a lot of hard work, but you can absolutely do it! Good luck!
