What is the capacity of the fuel tank of my motorcycle?

1. When I started at 9.00 am to travel from New York to Washington my fuel tank was filled to the brim.
2. When I stopped halfway at 1.00 pm for my lunch-break, my fuel tank was half-empty.

Answer is E.

1 and 2 do not specify anything about the distance and miles/gallon of fuel spent.
