Make notecards of the material you're having trouble with... or at the very least download the flashcards provided here on BTG... i live in NYC and i go through my notecards walking to the subway in the morning (10 minutes)... on the subway (5-10 minutes)... part of my lunch hour ( lets say 30 minutes) ... subway going home (5-10 minutes)... walking home after subway (10 minutes)... and before you know it.. at the very least that's an hour of studying... use your time wisely! Hope this gives you some ideas... trust me flashcards help!!! Good Luck!

One hour a day for two months should be enough to see a score increase. You'll need to make sure you are studying systematically during that hour, however. Since test timing seems to be an issue for you, I'd suggest, more than anything, taking several practice tests during the next two months and making sure you stay within the standard GMAT time-frame every time. If you don't have the time to take full tests, use as many of those single hours each day timing yourself on questions; always stay under 2 minutes per question where possible.Hotstev wrote:hi guys,
the GMAT beat me. I scored 460. Q31 V22 (GMATPrep Q35-37 / V20-25)
I was aiming for 500-600. Prepared for about 2 months approximately 2hrs a day.
I'm thinking about another try. The problem is that I've no time for more preparation in the upcoming months.
I have to focus on my bachelor's thesis and my exams. Additionally I have to work. Consequently, there is no time left for GMAT preparation (max. 0,5-1hr a day in the next two months).
I really need at least 500 points. What do you guys think?
Worked through OG12 (but verbal only partly) and partly through Kaplan 800.
I wasn't nervous during the GMAT and I finished the math section much earlier (at least 10min earlier). But I ran out of time in verbal!!
There are a number of sites that offer practice tests at no or low cost. You can find 5 unique tests on ManhattanReview.com for a reasonable price.
Hope this helps.

to add to the post above, i would say for SC try to stay under 1:45 (WHILE STUDYING)... those 15 seconds can add up.

Hey you had written that in GMAT you scored "460. Q31 V22 (GMATPrep Q35-37 / V20-25)"Hotstev wrote:Hey guys,
I'm not making any progress. I have just no time left for preparation besides work and bachelor thesis.
I give GMAT another shot on 08. April. Just want to score 500+.
I'm weak in verbal, because I'm no native speaker. Additionally, I'm bored preparing for verbal.-You can try knewton interactive preparation .In it you can chat and discuss questions with the other persons live via chat box.
That will cause less boredom.Infact ,you might even like it![]()
What do you guys think? Should I concentrate on math for Q40+ and forget verbal (current: V20-25).
Don't know what to do, because there is actually no time for preparation left.
-IfConsequently, there is no time left for GMAT preparation (max. 0,5-1hr a day in the next two months).
possible, try to increase your study span to 3-4 hours per day
-Try to speed up in RC(This section utilises most of ur time in the verbal section)But I ran out of time in verbal!!
Also,if you have good concepts in SC,you can speed through it and save time for RC.
Whichever approach works for you, choose that.
I hope the above tips help .

That is a very good tip ...we should have as much practice of VB and SC . so that we can do it in just 30-45 seconds ...only ..so that we can sae time for RC...money9111 wrote:to add to the post above, i would say for SC try to stay under 1:45 (WHILE STUDYING)... those 15 seconds can add up.

definitely do not forget about verbal... this is where you can actually make up the most ground and increase your score.. a small increase in verbal will increase your score more than a small increase in quant
