Does x^2-y^2=x + y ?
1) x and y are consecutive integers
2) x = 1 + y
OA D
x^2-y^2= x+y
(x+y)(x-y) = x+y
x-y = 1 ?????
Statement I
x and y are consecutive integers
x-y=1
x-y=-1
We dont know if x is greater or y is greater.
Therefore insufficient.
Statement II
x=1+y
x-y=1
Sufficient.
Hence B is the answer.
I think the OA is wrong. Let me know if anyone thinks otherwise.
