B.which is higher than it is in
C.and higher than that of
D. higher than that of
E.higher than in

i have choosen E but why it is incorrect plz explain

IMO A is correct , problem with B is use of "it" . Whats the OA

A: temperature is compared with country.
B:it has no clear reference.
C: 'and' is not required.
E: same as A.
