Word Choice

The special trading session of commodities began on Tuesday and will continue until resources last.
(A) began on Tuesday and will continue until resources last.
(B) begins at Tuesday continuing until resources last.
(C) will begin on Tuesday and until resources last, will continue.
(D) begins on Tuesday and, as long as resources may last, it continues.
(E) will begin on Tuesday and continue as long as the resources last

E seems correct.

What is OA?

Can you please explain why E and why not A?

until requires a continuing situation:

I can't finish until all the parts arrive.
I will keep working until we go out.

in this sentence "and will continue until resources last." points to situation which will go along

Doesn't the meaning change with (E)? The original sentence is saying, it began already...but (E) says it "will begin". Is this change justified?
