1000 Series 980 Question

The Immigration Service now has the discretionary power to keep families united even though all their members do not meet the five-year residency requirement.
(A) all their members do not meet the five-year residency requirement
(B) not all their members meet the five-year residency requirement
(C) all their members have not met the requirement for a five-year residency
(D) not all their members have resided for five years, a requirement
(E) all their members have not resided for five years, as required

Kindly post your answer with an explanation...OA after some discussion

(E) all their members have not resided for five years, as required-Wrong framing

even though not all the members meet the 5 year blah blah , the immigration service wants to keep blah blah ..

hence only B and D remain

ELIMINATE A , C and E

b/w B and D , b is correct. D is awkward and dangling.

Hence i'd go with B

Hey bhumika,
Shouldn't "though" and "not " be used together. -
hence only B and D remain
I ruled out B and D because of this.

Look carefully at option C .It meets the criteria-"even though not all the members meet the 5 year blah blah , the immigration service wants to keep blah blah .."

Can we have the OA pls singhag??
