I will also go with A

B is incorrect because replacing the native Berber religion, and to change is not parallel

C is incorrect because of unnecessary use of having and moreover again issue with parallelism

D is incorrect because of the the past perfect tense "had become"

E is incorrect because "replacing the Berber’s native religion and changing somewhat the native languages as well" has a newly added word "somewhat" which doesn't imply the same meaning as original sentence and secondly it should have had " changing their native languages as well" ( parallel construction for berbera's native religion)

FOR THIS QUESTION the answer is A

BUT FOR THE SAKE FURTHER DISCUSSION ( I am a selfish guy who would like to get few of his own concepts a bit clearer) If the above question had following as one of the options, then what would you go with
