IMO: E

We want to weaken Brad's explanation.

It seems Brad assumed Videorama's sales were the only negative factor contributing to a reduction in rentals.

(A) does not weaken Brad's argument, it does not explain why rentals were still down compared to 1993

(B) same explanation as (A)

(C) irrelevant

(D) irrelevant and out of scope

(E) is the right answer, if people loan movies to one another then they do not need to rent them from stores.
