question- Gmat prep

by successin08 » Mon Aug 17, 2009 11:34 am
Hi All,
I remember that there was a thread which stated how we can download GMAT Prep and then do something in our computers so that each time you would do it you would get different questions, can anyone post the link of that thread?

I believe the 'trick' you are referring to is the practice of taking the tests, then uninstalling/reinstalling the software. It's said that doing that will reset the question bank. But keep in mind that if you do that, you're likely going to see some previous questions showing up on your practice tests from the first two tests you took.

If you do this, please let us know how that worked for you. I've been a bit dubious about this practice in the past, but some people say it works well.

All the best!

Hi,

installing/uninstalling did not work for me.

I read somewhere that you have to delete the LOG or something folder(I dont quite remember, I did this a few weeks back). I did that and then I re-installed.

And yeah, for GPrep2, I got only 6 repeats in total.

But GPrep1 still had quite a few repeats.

So, if you do the above, do it with a pinch of salt.
