Career in Corporate Finance?

I am interested in a career in corporate finance and was wondering if getting an MSA, and maybe specializing in Financial Reporting, would be more beneficial. I have been reading job descriptions for positions in corporate finance and they seem to have a lot of accounting aspects to the job. I am finishing up my undergrad program this year and majoring in finance. I'm really interested in a career in corporate finance and I am looking for some career/educational advice!

Well James, there are several paths to take. One is an MBA and the other is a more "Technical" degree such as MiF, MSA, and so on. Often people with slightly different degrees can land similar jobs, but basically the difference is: Do you want to do hard-core finance, or do you want to LEAD??? If you are more interested in the number-crunching alone, then the more "Technical" degrees might be for you and if it's leadership then it's the MBA that is for you.

That helps a lot! For jobs in that field, do you think my lack of accounting background would affect me? As a finance major I have only taken about 2 accounting classes.
