If the drama club and music club are combined, what percent of the combined membership will be male?

(1) of the 16 members of the drama club, 15 are male
(2) of the 20 members of the music club, 10 are male

it is E as we do not know membership is mutually exclusive.

Same member may belong to both clubs.

I think this is a cleverly written GMAT question. The ans is E because you cannot make any assumptions in the GMAT..

If there is no overlap then ans C would be right but if overlap exists then we are not sure of how many members in the drama club are also members of the music club..So the ans should be E..
