Factoring & Exponent Question

by dnkcdnguy » Sat Jan 17, 2009 7:46 am
I'm sure there's one small step I'm missing when I'm doing this question.

Can someone please help with the following question:

If (1/5)^m (1/4)^18 = 1/2(10)^35, then m =

A) 17

B) 18

C) 34

D) 35

E) 36

Source: GMAT Prep Exam

A: D (35)

Thanks

Perfect!

I understand it now. I missed two exponent rules near the end. The factoring I did was correct.

Thanks!
