I am a little confused here If we need to maintain some kind of parallelism, then why is it not in the form of "SO X & SO Y THAT" Even if we can do without the conjunction 'AND' why do we need a comma after "SO Y". Why can't the sentence be in the form "So X,So Y THAT&qu...

I have a doubt here
In E, ",who..," acts as non essential modifier & thus sentence without the modifier should also be fine.
But "Sculptor Alexander Calder also believed in recycling at home" does not seem right to me

My reasoning:
1 C mentions the concrete actions of paragraph 2 as mere attempts.
2 NOthing seems wrong with E.
