I have compiled some quick reference for eliminating wrong answer choices in SC questions: 1) Look for noun and verb consistency - Especially when the underlined word is immediately after the noun and the candidate is confused by giving a long sentence between noun and the verb. 2) Look for tenses -...

Hmm. If OA is incorrect, then it is difficult for candidate who follow reputed materials, in trust that the information given will be correct. Can the originator post the explanation of the OA, so that candidates will be aware of such important mistakes?

Thanks everyone for correcting me....In Qn1, I still have doubt as like cornel2005. for qn no 2, i misread the question ignoring equal to zero, considering only the condition as greater than zero....

I think for qn 1,the eqn can be simplified as is 4^x3^-y<1? from statement 1 , the eqn becomes is4^x/ 3^(x^2) <1? you can try substituting any positive integers for x. The outcome is always less than 1. Hence statement 1 is sufficient. No information of x in statement 2. So Ans is A. For qn no 2, st...

Canman, I think one can assume x intercept as the point crossing x axis , that is at x=-1/3 when the assumed straight line is of form y=mx+c... I am also not so confident, what is the OA?

I think the answer is C...

From statement 1 y=3m(x)+m
From statement 2 x=-1/3

So y=-m+m =o; hence y=0 means it is the x axis itself....x axis has got a slope of zero...Hence answer C

I think the asnwer can be E..

Statement 1 is not sufficient, since a rectangle can also be called as a parallelogram.

Statement 2 alone is also not sufficient, since the same conditions can be said for a rectangle.

Both together do not give any additional information..hence E

Stuart, is it not necessary to have "unique" value of p from both the statements? One can write first 100 primes and can find P from statement 1. Meanwhile one can write all the primes between 1 and 3912. My question is what is the surety that the answers from both the statements give a un...

For question no.1, statement 1 says, q-p<50, maximum we can write this equation as q<50+1.06p (Considering the sales tax). But this statement alone will not give any sufficient information about q or p. Simply, there are two variables, in one single equation, which is insufficien tto answer. Stateme...
