Hi sherulporwal, I personally think you will be taking a big risk by not submitting an English proficiency test result. Most schools make it clear that international students are only exempt from this if the language of instruction in their university was English AND their university was located in ...

I am no expert but here is my 2 cents. A low GMAT score doesn't mean that you are not meant for B-School or that you should give up. It just means you have a low GMAT scores. Maybe standardized testing is not your strong suit or maybe its something else. But b-school admissions is a holistic process...

IMO C

In A, the "it" in "making it more than" is referring to the book rather than the copies in print. Same issue with D and E. In B, the usage of "which" lacks clarity as we don't know what it is referring to.

Hey Gokhra, I had gotten E too but checked it a different way with rewriting it as: is f^2> f^2-f ? When you put in a positive >1, you get the result yes when you put in a positive <1, you get the result yes too say you use a 1/2, you would get is 1/4 > (1/4-1/2) ? and then have 1/4 > -1/4, that to...

I don't think the equation simplifies to "Is f>0?" 1) f is not an integer: If we try f = 2.5 then f^2/(f-1) = 2.5^2/1.5 = 4.2, so it is >f If we try f = 0.5 then f^2/(f-1) = 0.5^2/-0.5 = -0.5, so it is <f INSUFFICIENT 2) f > 0 If we try f = 2 then f^2/(f-1) = 2^2/1 = 4, so it is >f If we t...

Just to share my method of solving: The equation is x = 3y - some constant As soon as I see it, I think "every time you increase y by 1, x increases by 3." The question asks exactly that, "How much do you increase y by to increase x by 3?" Basically, instead of trying to solve th...

770 on the GMAT - Thank you BTG!

I gave the GMAT today and got a 770 (Q50, V44) and just wanted to thank the GMAT community... I got a lot of help from the forums here! This was my first (and only) try. I didn't do close to this well on most of the practice tests I took. My verbal was pretty good to begin with for a non-native spea...
