I think I saw this DS question in a Kaplan book: Q. What is the value of x/y ? 1. x - y = 14 2. 2x = 5y The answer is "B", but i did not choose that as I did not know whether or not x & y were non-zero. Hence did not get x/y = 5/2. Is something wrong in my assumption? thanks, tarak Newbie | Next Rank: 10 Posts Joined 04 Sep 2008 Posted: 6 messages Upvotes: 1 Test Date: 5th October,2008 Target GMAT Score: 720 tparekh wrote: I think I saw this DS question in a Kaplan book: Q. You would not see a question just like this on the real GMAT, however; on the GMAT, they would make clear in the stem that xy is nonzero. • Get 300+ Practice Questions 25 Video lessons and 6 Webinars for FREE Available with Beat the GMAT members only code • Magoosh Study with Magoosh GMAT prep Available with Beat the GMAT members only code • Free Veritas GMAT Class Experience Lesson 1 Live Free Available with Beat the GMAT members only code • FREE GMAT Exam Know how you'd score today for$0
