coffee not coffee total
tea 10 10 20
not tea 70 10 80
total 80 20 100

hence only coffee = 70%
only tea = 10%
Tea = 20%

Use a table instead of a Venn diagram for these type of questions. With practice you will determine which one is better to use in each case.

Ques

80 Percent of the people in a party drink coffee, 10 percent of these also drink tea. 10 Percent in a party neither of these two drinks. what percent of the people in the party drink?

a coffee only, b only tea, c tea

What is the answer it got coffee
let total=100
80=C ; 10% of 80 = 8 both t*c
10 neither t nor c...
a) only coffee = 80-8 = 72 (=coffee - both tea& coffee)
b) only tea = 100-80-10 = 10
c) tea = 10+8 = 18 (=only tea + t&c)
