<DAB + <ABD = <BDC (Since external angle is equal to sum of internal opposite angles).

==> <ABD = <BDC - <DAB = 2x - x = x
==> Tri ABD is isoceles with AD = BD ----- (A)

Also, From isoceles Tri BDC, BD = BC ---- (B)
From (A) & (B) above,
AD = BD = BC ----- (C).

From 1: AD = 6.
so, from (C), BC = 6. Hence, sufficent.

From 2: x=36.
This only gives us value of angles but no data for any of the sides. Hence, insufficient.

So, IMO answer is (A). Could you please confirm.

statement 1 by itself is sufficient

in ABD : X + (180-2X) + B2= 180
---> B2 = X
----->AD = BD = 6

NOW IN BDC , SINCE <C = <D = 2X , HENCE BC = BD = 6.

statement 2 insufficient.
