Explanation -
Total Cost of Dinner(TCoD) from statement A = k*19 - does not give any number, so A alone is not sufficient
TCoD from statement B = (k+1)*18 - does not give any number, so B alone is not sufficient
Both together -
k*19 = (k+1)*18
We can solve for k and find the total cost.

(1) T = 19 * k. There is one equation and two variables; NOT sufficient.
(2) T = 18(k + 1). Again, there is one equation and two variables; NOT sufficient.
Combining (1) and (2), 19k = 18k + 18 or k = 18, so now T can be found; SUFFICIENT.
The correct answer is C.
