Think Like the Test-Makers
Learning the nuts and bolts of GMAT Quant is undoubtedly very important. For example, knowing the formula for the area of a circle, combined work formula, and combination formula are necessary for your success.
However, there is a strategic aspect of the GMAT in which it’s essential to be able to have an understanding of what a problem is truly testing. Additionally, you must be on the lookout for certain traps that tend to appear in answer choices. In fact, these skills are important for most standardized tests!
On the GMAT, strategic thinking is especially important for some Data Sufficiency questions. The more you think like the GMAT-makers, the better you’ll be able to spot the concepts tested and avoid common traps.
