The United States has the largest trade deficit of any country on Earth, other nations, such as China and Japan, holding stores of US dollars that increase each year.

I wonder if questions that easy came on GMAT.

OA should be A
B C and D are out because usage of like to give example is wrong at least in GMAT.
E is out because we need either semicolon to connect two independent clauses or proper conjunction and it doesn't have either so its a run on. D is a run on too but i noticed that later. I first noticed the Such as vs like difference as it is easy to spot.
