Hi,
I submitted my application round 1 to a school with my GMAT scores; my GMAT isn't as high as I would like, and I'm thinking about taking the GREs instead. This would put me in round 2 for the school. Is there a tasteful way to approach the admissions office to have them switch and explain the situation? Thanks.

Just email them and get talk to them on the phone. Email is not as friendly a medium as the phone, esp. when explaining something like this, so try to set something up to talk.
