In the xy-plane, region R consists of all the points (x, y) such that 2x + 3y = 6. Is the point
(r, s) in region R ?
(1) 3r + 2s = 6
(2) r = 3 and s = 2
A. Statement (1) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (2) alone is not sufficient.
B. Statement (2) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (1) alone is not sufficient.
C. BOTH statements TOGETHER are sufficient, but NEITHER statement ALONE is
sufficient.
D. EACH statement ALONE is sufficient.
E. Statements (1) and (2) TOGETHER are NOT sufficient.

Should be B

For any point in the region 2x+3y=6 should be satisfied.

Stmt 1 - 3r+2s=6. (2,0) satisfies this eq but does not satisfies 2x+3y=6. However,(6/5,6/5) satisfies both equations. SO NOT SUFF
Stmt 2 - 2*3+3*2 = 12. Not in the region. SUFF

I also had the same opinion
OA is E
OAs are sometimes wrong in Sets
