Sentence correction web-app idea

by evankray » Tue Jun 07, 2011 2:56 pm
Hi, I have an idea for a web-app that's focused on the sentence correction part of the GMAT, and I wanted to hear some opinions of people taking the test whether it'd be useful/valuable to them.

Here's the idea: instead of approaching general GMAT questions first, the app would divide every grammar rule that is tested into a separate "skill" and a student would start by deciding whether very simple sentences using that rule are correct or incorrect. There might be a timer to keep the game fast paced. After you get 5 right in a row, the difficulty of the sentences increases (level up) but you continue mastering the same rule. After you've leveled up enough times on one grammar rule, it starts you again on the next. After you've mastered a couple of rules like this you level up to higher stages where there are multiple sentences and multiple rules that may be violated or not - but essentially the task remains the same: decide which are correct or not under the time limit.

What do people think of this idea? Thanks for your responses and be honest!!!
