Hello, I'm very discouraged right now, as I've taken the two GMAT Prep tests with the following scores: PREP1 - 660 (Q44 V37) PREP2 - 630 (Q47 V29!!!!!!!!) Can those who have taken the test recently compare Verbal on the REAL GMAT to what GMAT Prep is like. I take the test in just over a week, and t...

the answer is E....I chose C when I took the test. Just for reference, can someone please explain what the opposite is for the probability of getting a white ball or an even number as the question asks? Isn't it P(not white) + Prob (not even)??? Also, I thought the prob of A or B is just PA + PB...i...

Thanks Eric, I didn't see that post. Very much appreciated! I just took a GMATPrep practice test and scored a 660 (Q44, V37 - I may have them switched, can't remember...is there a way to bring the score back?). Also, like an idiot, I didn't confirm the last question on Math, so I don't know how much...

I say B.
The author states that the pigeons are valuable when the military wants to send messages without being intercepted. Therefore, it must be true that sending messages via pigeons cannot be intercepted.

Thanks for your reply VP_Jim! After some more digging and reviewing my errors for Q, it seems that I can identify a few weaknesses. On both CATS, I got DS questions wrong that relate to absolute value (with inequalities) and number properties (GCM, is n/18 an integer, etc.). I also noticed that on b...

GMAT Software - Targets Weakness
Hello All,
I was told of a certain software program that feeds you questions, and as you get questions wrong it'll adapt to your weaknesses and feed you the same type of questions. Has anyone heard of this?
Thanks!

Hello Everyone, I took the gmat back in June and scored a dismal 560. I started studying again in Sept, with hopes to take it again in Nov-end. I have taken two MGMAT practice tests (second one today) with the following scores: 600 - 36Q 36V 600 - 37Q 35V I'm obviously not improving, so I am in need...

sorry to add more, but I just want to make sure I understand...
so if your sock/drawer example were to ask, "What is the probability of choosing a red sock and a blue sock?"
Then the answer would be - (3/10)*(5/9) + (5/10)*(3/9)
Correct?

Stuart thanks for the elaboration! Very good explanation. So, for question (b), why is the answer (60/1000) * (1/800), and not (60/1000)*(1/800) + (60/800)*(1/1000)? Question a considers both scenarios - picks white first, then blue; picks blue first, then white. Why not consider this for question (...
