Congratulations on your score.. The title in your post completely threw me off and I can see how it can come out as sarcastic. I know at least 4 of my buddies who are in top 5 mba programs with scores ranging from 680 - 720. That being said, I think that you should focus on other aspects of your app...

You just need to relax. Sometimes the best thing to do is NOT doing anything. Don't have unrealistic expectations from yourself. Realize that you have tried your best and you are putting your best foot forward. Also, understand that GMAT can be taken multiple times IF needed. GMAT is a part of the b...

Hello fellow Gmatters, I joined BTG back in 2009. I studied for 4 - 5 months and then life happened. I got back to GMAT again in 2010 and then Career took precedence. Now I am back for one last time. 3rd time is the charm eh !!! ( Also, since I am in mid 30's, this would be a last try for me. ). I a...

Sorry didn't want to go off tangent on this one but you work with a team that developed GOD OF WAR . Are you kidding me, GMAT should NOT be a challenge to you. ( well not that big atleast ). I am a firm believer of LUCK and I guess what you need after all your prep is a little bit of it. Of course, ...

Not sure I completely agree with you. In my recent GMATPrep 1 I scored 680 ( 49 Q 35 V ). I had 14 / 41 errors in Verbal and a couple of 3 continous errors. For Quant, I had 12 / 37 errors most of which were in the 2nd half and also these errors were evenly spread out.

I actually agree with SoCalMBA. Instead of getting frustrated think of this in terms of what biz school want / prefer. They want a diverse group of people. The class interaction and what the class brings to the table is different. That what makes the MBA well rounded. An Indian IT Male is a very com...

More ridiculousness. Made a 640 on the Kaplan CAT 7 on Wednesday - 70% on Quant, 64% on Verbal. Just took GMATPrep CAT 1 Today.... Made a 750 (49 on Quant, 42 on Verbal). I'm just all over the place on these CATs. How is a 110 pt range in 5 days even possible? I would take Kaplan CAT's with a grain...

Jennifer, I have a similar profile but am in a little worse situation ( well, expecting my GMAT score to be around 650 and am not from an Ivy League school) but am looking to target Part Time programs - Ross, Tepper, Booth - GSB. Do you think its again out of reach for the profile, should I be targe...

How do you find Jeff Sackmann's DS so far ? Did you get the fundamental or the extreme challenge. Personally, I would get the extreme challenge, just because once you cross 42 - 43, its more than concepts that is needed.

Er... that's basically what I meant. If you mess up your timing badly enough and don't do anything to fix it along the way, then you'd be forced to guess on a number of questions in a row at the end (or leave them blank, which is even worse). That's not what you WANT to do. It's what happens if you...

...Of course, the only place we're ever really forced to do that is at the end because of timing issues... . I beg to differ and hence my earlier question. From what I recall of the session with Ron Purewal ( Thursday's with Ron ) and going thru the timing map, most of the questions that I would gu...
