Well I only applied to 2 schools this year, the two that I would have most liked to go to: Harvard and Duke. Pretty sure I didn't get accepted to Harvard, but I did get in to Duke!

I wouldn't even worry about Princeton Review if I were you. If you have time after the OG, get the supplements and go through those. I started with the Kaplan Premeir Program but quickly switched to the OG guides and thats all I did and now that I've done the test, I wouldn't do it any other way. Al...

Resume Questions
You don't see much about resumes for business school. Are there any guidelines or suggestions? I have worked in one company and had an internship. The rest of my jobs are either ventures I started or just part-time positions. Should I only put my full-time and internship experience? I have had two p...

Being Married?
I'm just wondering, as an ECC, would being married have any impact on admissions? I'm wondering if it would show the adcom maturity or something like that? I know it's a weird question. I wonder because I've done all of my essays and feel great about them. But, when reading through I realized how it...

Thanks again Amy, you are such an appreciated resource. Another quick essay question. Is it safe to assume that all essays are read together? Reason for asking is, if I want to reference something from my past in one essay that I talked about extensively in another, should I give a short explanation...

Thanks Amy, I really appreciate your feedback. I have another question, so I thought I'd just post it here. I'm working on the essay question: What is your career vision and why is this choice meaningful to you? Looking at what I have written, I say what my long term goal is and why its important in...

Leadership Failure for Young Career Applicant?
Hello Again! On one of my applications I can choose to either write about a leadership opportunity I've had or a leadership failure. I'm thinking about the leadership failure, as I can show how I turned it around to make the situation successful and also how I've applied lessons learned in a future ...

Interview Question
I'm currently working in Utah, and applying to some schools on the East. Duke, for example, recommends interviews but you don't have to do them. How bad would it be to not do an interview because I am in the Midwest? Would that hurt my chances of getting in?

Ok, so my AWA was only a 4.5. I guess thats what you get for not studying it at all and doing it in 15 minutes.
Do you guys still think that is acceptable for a top school?

Constructing an Essay
Hi Amy and Stacy: I've been looking around the forums for some advice on how to conquer the essay portion of the application. Maybe I have missed something, but I don't see any posts that go very in depth about the essays. I know that you continually say that strong essays are important, but would i...

740 (48Q, 44V) - Holy Crap!
I had read about the trap many times; do not try and figure out how you're doing on quant by how hard you percieve the questions. I knew it and had vowed to not allow myself to get excited or depressed after the Q section. But I still did. Some questions seemed hard, but the majority seemed easier t...

I also bought it about a month ago. I would say it would have been great if I was just starting out studying. But, further along it wasn't as much help. There were still some topics that I got help on though.

The median is just the middle number in a set. So, you just need to figure out what number would be in the middle. Just add up how many numbers there are (2+10+16+27+18=73). Divide by two which would give you 36 + 1, so you know the median would be the 37th number from the top or bottom, which is in...
