please note the following rules: you CAN add inequalities with the same direction, and you can subtract opposite inequalities, but not the other way around. Easy approach:

6 Machines --> 12 days
x Machines --> 8 days

8 * 1.5 = 12

so 6 * 1.5 = 9

done in some seconds :-)

AWA needed?

I did the GMAT last year and got a 5 in the AWA.

On Saturday, I will take the GMAT again. Do I need to write the AWA again for applying at Business Schools? I just heard about a guy who didn't write the essays a second time.

I suppose that it also depends on the Business School....

why is the height = 4? i thought the height is 8, since the height of the water is the tank is 4 feet when the tank is filled to half its capacity: r^2 * pi * 8 = 36 * pi could anybody explain plz? ah i think i got it now! the phrase "... is filled to half its capacity" is needless to cal...

does "bisect" ALWAYS mean to cut a line or an angle into two EQUAL parts?

i think that i saw a question, in which "bisect" just meant to divide, but not into two EQUAL parts. unfortunately, i don't find this question any more.
