International student - question around post-MBA sponsorship
Hi, I am a "resident alien" (non-US citizen) and am planning to apply this fall to US schools. I have been working in the US on a work permit for close to 6 years now. I have just around 6 months left in my H1-B work-related 6-year stay here. Research has shown that if my 6 years of H1 exp...

Something that worked for me on test day -- I had a 11:30 am test, and the few hours between waking up and test time can feel like eternity. I just wanted to go there and get it over with. After 9 am or so, I completely shut my books, switched on some favorite music and relaxed. On my way to the tes...

Best ways to research post-MBA career paths?
I'm currently researching MBA schools, and doing some soul searching to figure out what I really want to do post-MBA. I'm struggling a little with the different options, because I'm not really sure what those different post-MBA functions - Finance, strategy consulting, marketing - really come down t...

-- I wish I'd known that even with headphones on, I would be able to listen to conversations happening outside the testing room door. Incidentally, I sat just a little away from the testing room door - my mistake - I should've asked for a different seating, but it didn't strike me at that time that ...

Have you tried looking at the assessment reports of your Manhattan CATs? Those reports are invaluable in making you aware of your weak links. My first few Manhattan CAT scores were in the lower 600s, but then they steadily increased when I targeted the weak areas pointed out in the earlier ones. Sin...

General question about roots (Number properties)
In the Manhattan GMAT 'Number Poperties' guide, in Chapter 6, it says that a square root has only one value (as far as GMAT is concerned). To quote from the book - " If root_of(4) = x, what is x? In the example, x=2, since (2)(2)= 4. While it is true that (-2)(-2)=4, the GMAT follows the standa...
