1) By substitution, x = 10 & Y = 5 (x >y) Rent collected in 99 will be more than rent collected in 97 If x = -10 & y = -5. Rent collected in 99 will be less than rent collected in 97 Insufficient 2) xy > 100X-100Y Substitute the same values for X = 10 & -10, get Y values. The Rent collec...

With the stem, we know k is an integer.
From statement 1, 2#k=3 we can deduce that # is addition and k can take the value of 1 only.
From the second statement, we cannot say what the sign is or what the value of k can be. Not Sufficient.
So the answer is A.

But b can be either a positive number or a negative number. which leaves us with -a.b and (-b,a) can be in the first or the second quadrant. If x and y are positive, then (-x,y) will be in the 2nd quadrant. If x and y are negative, coordinates would be in the 4th quadrant. So to me, with both statem...

If we take the first statement, It is in sufficient because 98 is 9 + 8 = 17, is a prime number and 16 is 1+6=7 is a prime number. So we cannot prove that n < 80. Not sufficient. Second statement, if n > 80, every number should have a 8 and a 9. Numbers 8 and 9 are not prime numbers, so anything gre...

Yes. Area will remain the same. But without knowing what the x coordinate is, we will not know what the area of the triangle is. Shouldn't the answer be 'E' as we cannot find the answer even using the second clue?

There are 216 different possible combinations. Total sum of 3 numbers of each dice can be between 3 and 18. Joe has to get a number greater than 10 which means, out of 16 numbers (sum of 3 dice) possible he can get only 8 numbers greater than 10. 8 is half of 16. So B is the answer.
