Here are two reasons why you might want to disagree with the conclusion reached in that argument. One thing for example is that about 75% of the houses in that area have a jacuzzi and that underlying premise is used to conclude that people are willing to spend more on the personal care. While the da...

Could you elaborate a little bit on your work experience and your undergraduate education. Those credentials by themselves don't tell a complete story and you're bound to get a better response if you provide more details on your profile.

WOW! Full ride to Haas is quite incredible. Best of Luck. I was strongly considering Stacy Blackman but their price tag is a bit on the expensive side compared with VeritasPrep and some of the other well known consulting firms. For ex. Veritas offers a comprehensive 3-school pacakage for $3900 while...

LOL! nice reply. Generally schools say that they want an 80, 80 breakdown in the percentiles (meaning percentile greater than 80 in each section). However, I think that 710 with a Quant percentile of a 77% is nothing to worry about. One thing that could be important is your undergraduate degree. If ...

Yeah The Lives of Others was fantastic but the best movie featuring Berlin has to be 'Run Lola Run.' When I visited Berlin I had no idea what to expect, so was completely blown away by the punk/graffiti sub-culture and the experimental music scene there. Apart from that there was quite a bit of cult...

vivianchi is right. you need to find holes in the argument. The other half of AWA ("Analysis of an Issue") presents you with a topic on which you can take a position and justify it or go against it!

When I said a brief essay, I meant writing a five line essay and moving on. I have not heard of scores not being processed if you don't answer your essays. On the GMATPrep software you get a score even if you leave your essays blank.

I have a general comment, the length of both your essays are relatively short that in itself isn't a bad thing. You should also try and present at least two arguments instead of just one argument. Other than these your writing style is good and with a little better time management you should do well...

I wouldn't recommend skipping it. Practicing and writing the AWA isn't difficult at all. All one needs to do is practice for a day or two to get a score of 4.0 or better. Alternatively, you could also just write a brief essay and move ahead if you're concerned about your stamina, energy, etc. One mo...

Is there any particular reason why you need to score a 710? In most cases 680 is a good enough score and the fact that you showed a 140 point jump is a great achievement and one that schools will look at very favourably. I've heard from various sources that attempting multiple times to score a 700 l...

With the consistently high scores you're getting on the practice tests I think the only thing that can prevent you from beating the GMAT is your nerves. So stay calm, relax. Get a good night's sleep the day before the test and you should be fine.

Magnia is right, Tuck does individually pluck the best verbal, quant scores but almost certainly this is not a worthwhile strategy since this is the only school I know of that breaks them up this way.
