OG11 easier than OG12
I have noticed that the questions in OG12 (Verbal) are easier than the ones in OG11. Anybody found this pattern as well? I guess this just means that the questions are getting harder.

MGMT SC Book
I have gone thru this book twice and have not seen a dramatic improvement in my SC scores. What is the proper way to go thru this book? I read the chapters and go thru about 50% of the problem sets. Should I be doing the suggested OG11 questions too? Anyone who have gone thru the book and found succ...

How many squares?

If all coordinates of the vertices must be integers, how many different ways can this square be drawn? 4 6 8 10 12 OE is 12. What is the conceptual way to solve...

Fear of taking tests
I have this fear whenever I take even the practice tests. Like today, I am suppose to take a practice exam. But I am so nervous about it because I am afraid of what the results might say. I guess I am more fearful that my score is lower than the previous week because that would mean all my hard work...

Feeling dejected
Will I ever be 100% ready for the GMAT? I have been studying using Kaplan method, Gmat Hacks, and now Manhattan Gmat method. Then I am suppose to do OG, LSAT CR, Gmat Prep. Every provider teaches the method differently, and some are better than others in diff sections. All I am saying is, today I mi...

Absolute Madness
If x and y are non-zero integers and |x| + |y| = 32, what is xy? (1) -4x – 12y = 0 (2) |x| – |y| = 16 ..The Answer is A. However, I am confused by the explanation below: (1) SUFFICIENT: Statement (1) can be rephrased as follows: -4x – 12y = 0 -4x = 12y x = -3y If x and y are non-zero integers,...

Testing center folly
I took the exam last month at Pearson, White Plains NY. I found an inconsistency in the test room procedure and wanted to see if anyone has any comments on it. At the end of each section, we are given a 8 minute break. Typically, I step out of the room immediately, spending about 4 minutes outside t...

Having a tough time nailing down Verbal Strategy - 1 month
I am retaking my Gmat in 1 month. Last Gmat effort yielded me a scaled score of 30 on verbal. I know what I need to do on quant but am having a hard time to find ways to prep verbal. I tried reading Spidy's notes, as well as the flash cards from BTG and MGMAT. However, those resources just seems lik...

MGMAT scoring realistic
Just took MGMAT CAT #1 (Free for anyone to test out) and scored 650 (Q45, V34). My question is, I missed 18 out of 37 Q questions (I know, i need to improve) but still got a scaled score of 45. Is this realistic? Seems a bit on the high side. Regardless, props to MGMAT. I really like their format vs...
