thanks

Cramya, Thanks for the encouragement. My dream is to go to a top 10 school like Columbia, Stern, or Cornell so with the research I've done it is clear this score won't do. Overall b schools look to see that a candidate can handle quant and in undergrad I didn't take any math so this will raise a maj...

re drop

Hi, My target score going in was a 660 or higher. Very achievable (I believe) with a higher quant score. The problem is that a 610 that has a more even split between quant and verbal is better than the 610 I got because b schools (especially the ones I want to go to) will feel I cannot handle the ma...

what to do now? terrible experience

I took the GMAT today and got totally decimated by the Quant. Don't know what to do now. I have been studying very hard for the last 5 months. Quant has always been a weakness but I kept going over the concepts and focused on the OG. Last week I scored 690 and 660 on the GMAT pratice tests. I had a ...

serious advice needed!!!

Hi Guys, I need some serious advice on what to do from here. I have been studying for the GMAT for several months now (since April). Took a Kaplan course and have tried private tutoring. When I started I had forgotten ALL math concepts. I am at the point now where I know most of the stuff but when I...

advice pls

Hi,

as an update to my last post I am now at a 580 on my last Kaplan CAT. My math is still really poor but I am finding I am now losing focus and staring to feel overwhelmed by the GMAT. I have 5 weeks to bring my score up to between 680-700. Can this be done and how?

Powerscore GMAT bible versus LSAT bible

Hi,

I have the Powerscore LSAT bible and I find it very long and I was wondering if it would be better to get the Powerscore GMAT critical reasoning bible instead b/c it would focus specifically focus on GMAT type questions.

Has anyone compared both and have any thoughts?

Thanks,

Anita

practice tests

I haven't taken an official practice test. Yesterday was the first day of the Kaplan course I had enrolled in and I took their diagnostic. I heard they low ball, but I assumed I would score avg. 500 and then go up from there. Granted, I have been out of school for a while so there are many variables...

not taking it personally

I know it is a huge jump to make that is why I am considering taking time off of work. I have to apply this fall so even if I take the GMAT in August...with full time study for two months, I am wondering if I may burn out? I look to the people who have worked hard and made it and I hope and aspire t...

extremely worried

I just took a Kaplan paper diagnotic test and scored a 410 :( I know my math is very weak but I thought my verbal would be strong as I am a high school Social Science/English teacher. I refuse to give up but I need a 700 score to even get considered at the schools I want to apply to. Is it even poss...

non traditional backround

Hi, I am a High School Teacher in Canada and I have decided that I want to switch careers and pursue an MBA in the United States. I am currently studying for the GMAT but I am worried that I may not be considered due to my non traditional background. I have been teaching for 6 years and have an unde...
