1) /x > y ;this tells the answer if x was a +ve integer.but it can be a fration. insuff
2) x^3 > y ; x > y for a fraction but not for an integer; insuff

combining we get that x>y whether a fration or an integer.

IMO 54 we shud form diff sets of number summing up to 16 we start from 8......also the arrow can hit the same number twice 871 862 853 844.......so we have 4*3! ways with this taking 7 now we shud make sure that we dont have to include 8 this time 772 763 754.......3*3! ways taking 6 (not 7 or 8) 66...

IMO A

statement 1) the pt lies on x=-1, any pt on x=-1 will be equidistant from both the pts.
statement 2) the pt. can be anywhere on the line y=-3 (1,-3;2,-3;3,-3) so u cant say if it is closer to A or B.
