Re: Factorization problem

Honestly, I'd just pick numbers. If 9 is a factor of 2x, let's let x = 4.5, since that's not an integer and likely to mess up the correct answer. Remember, we want one that doesn't HAVE to be an integer, i.e. COULD be a non-integer. Stuart, you're a star! Thank you! Just to confirm, OA is A Picking...

If 9 is a factor of 2X then the following is also true: 2X = 9b where b is some integer. Then (A), (B), (C), (D) and (E) can be rewritten as follows: (A) (6X/54) + (2X/3) ((3 x 9b)/54) + ((9b)/3) = (27b/54) + (9b/3) = 27/54b + 3b which may not be an integer (B) (4X - 18)/9 (2 x 9b - 18)/9 = 2b - 2 (...

The educational theorist says: "But the average homework time for a ten year old, for example, is little more than 30 minutes per night. Clearly, therefore, there is no need to impose the limits these editorials are calling for." This conclusion can only be based on the fact that (D) in mo...

This is a simple one.

There should be a direct relation between the word confused and the first word in the sentence after the comma. Only Schliemann can be confused. So it must be (C).

(A) is False. Mr Mead's conclusion is that private ownership will surely not make it financially viable. Ms Gallis does not say this conclusion is correct. She only states that in the 70's price controls were keeping fares unreasonably low. This does not say anything about the financial viability to...

I would like to let you know that according to other web sites the correct answer is (D). Both nervesofsteel and I explaine...
