Thanks. But why did you subtract 77 only once? There could be more than one 77. Why did you assume that there is only one 77?
Thanks

pepeprepa,
You need to solve the eq. "sqrt( (s+sqrt(3))² + (t-1)² )=sqrt( 8 )" in order to determine s. How do you do that?
Thanks bha.

Distance between P and (0,0) is 2 not sqrt2.
Why do you say qot is 45 degress? The question doesn't say so.
Please advise?
Thanks

So, should we plug-in numbers in these type of questions?
I plug in numbers and I was getting both I and II greater then the number in question.
Ajay, you did not explain how you will compare x+y (denominator is II) with 2x (denominator in I)?
Thanks

Thanks.
But what are the "standard" steps to solve these kind of or more difficult DS inequality problems?

Need strategy to solve Inequality questions
I spent too much time to solve questions of this type (see attached). I normally plug-in different values to solve these type of questions: Inequalitis asking if p is greather than q , etc. I believe I should have bough MGMT Inequalitties book. However, now it's too late as I have my exam in 3 days....
