The 120-point increase (from 450 to 570) on the GMATPrep test is very encouraging - great work! With 10 days left to prepare, you should be strengthening any weaknesse...

Hi Brent . I took the GMAT on Feb the 13th and scored a 540 ( 36 Q 28 V ). Took 2 weeks almost free and started working since the beginning of March for a retake on April the 3rd to catch my target school deadline aiming at a 640 (they demand a minimum score of 600 but I want to secure myself) . Aft...

" In #GMAT sentence correction, you must compare entity with entity or attribute with attribute - not one entity with the other's attribute "

For verbal you need to answer each question, even if that means guessing. So make sure you leave time for that. On quant, GMAC has done some analysis of this...if you are below average then it may actually be better to just get the ones you can and if you do not provide answers to some this might b...

There is an easy answer to this and to all similar questions...try it in a practice test and see what happens! Try a practice test with the timer and one without and see what feels better. The same with earplugs, try with earplugs and without (do this in a location like a library that has a similar...

Ever wonder what the right strategy is if you are running out at the end of a section? Should you guess? Should you leave the questions blank? Should you rush through and attempt all of the questions. I provide one answer to that question in this article from the Veritas Prep Blog. "Running ou...

I encourage you to think about hiding that timer. You have good instincts in wanting to not be distracted by the timer counting down. Here is an article where I discuss this subject! "The Most Important Time is Now" link: http://www.beatthegmat.com/mba/2012/07/18/the-most-important-time-i...

Patterns in SC ????
"Pattern Recognition" is a commonly used term and a key skill for GMAT .By practice , I could observe clear patterns for right and wrong answers in RC and CR , but never in SC .I just observe splits/decision points and re-split after exclusion . Any advice ???

Hey Nona, If you have a practice test with MGMAT, I could look at it and give more specific advice. Taking a first test on our site is free, so maybe do that, then let me know (you can give me your full name by PM, if you'd like, though I'll post my thoughts as part of this thread). Good luck! -t H...
