Admissions from second tier firms?
Hi Lisa, I was wondering what schools thought of applicants from second-tier MC firms who nevertheless have high stats. I have a 3.8 GPA and a 770 GMAT, which seems like it would normally make me extremely competitive in admissions, except that I will be applying from an Accenture/Deloitte level fir...

I think you probably don't need the other books (definitely not RC, and probably not CR), but it probably would help to take a look at the strategies they use in those. One thing you're going to want to do is continually review earlier material. If you haven't looked at a subject for two or three we...

I don't think you need to. at that level, you're within the standard deviation of 99th percentile on the quant, and I think once the schools see your gmat they'll be much more concerned with other stuff, like how exactly you are different from every other post I-banker/private equity applicant who w...

Yeah, sure. The OG material is wonderful, but it doesn't really include a lot of harder questions. So, especially on the math, I really felt that I benefited from suffering through the MGMAT ridiculous questions, just because they're so unbelievably difficult that you have to learn a lot more by doi...

770 - Q50, V46
I took it last friday. Quant felt fairly easy, but more difficult than GMATPrep. Verbal felt quite difficult vis a vis GMATPrep and slightly more difficult than MGMAT CATs. Manhattan Gmat was a wonderful program, and I highly recommend it to anyone who's on the fence over whether to pay for it. Anyw...

This may seem like a stupid question, but in this case, is it possible to assume that there are 0 people over 65? Or is it that the fact of 10% female employment means that there are living people over the age of 65?

2 Days Left - Last minute advice?
Hi All, I'm taking the Gmat this Friday. I took an MGMAT course which finished about 2.5 weeks ago, and after a break in study (not ideal, I know, but I was busy), I have been taking a CAT every day. My results so far: 1-13-08 - MGMAT CAT 1 - 720 (47Q, 41V) 2-05-08 - MGMAT CAT 2 - 720 (47Q, 41V) 3-1...

I've been doing a practice test from MGMAT or GMATPrep each day in the final week leading up to my test for stamina and a better sense of timing overall. I've also been doing reviews from the ManhattanGmat math (and SC) books and Kaplan 800 for CR and RC, as well as looking at Quant OG. I think the ...
